We define philanthropy as the giving of resources in an engaged and strategic way for maximum impact and in a tax efficient manner. It can include the giving of money, assets, time, talent, voice and one’s social capital. We believe in the power of philanthropy as a great social connector and the source of many great opportunities.

The Funding Network

2016 was a rollercoaster. And for many of us there were more stomach-churning moments than enjoyable thrills. We often feel helpless at how little we can do, but we shouldn't underestimate the power of the people. Together we are more than the sum of our parts and can have a big impact. So kick off 2017 with TFN  to discover how you can make a difference to the lives of children in Kenya and El Salvador, care leavers and asylum seekers. Start the year how you mean to go on: supporting the change you want to see in the world.

This will interest those involved in the practicalities of assessing grant applications who want to explore the underlying principles, the challenges involved and to learn from different approaches.

You will explore similarities and differences between foundations and during the event you will be able to share information, ideas, challenges and possible solutions.
