80,000 Hours is a community that encourages people to become effective altruists – people who make helping others a significant part of their lives and try make their help as effective as possible. Its members focus their careers on helping others by campaigning, innovating, becoming professional philanthropists, improving effective organisations, and researching.

Alive and giving

Alive and giving is a charity comparison and fundraising site that promotes considered charitable giving. The site allows users to search for, compare and donate to registered charities. It uses information from the Charity Comission to provide an undestanding of where the charity works, who it supports and it financial situation. They then provide a link for users to visit the charirty's site in order to donate.

Benefacto

Benefacto is an online employee volunteering platform which is designed to make it easy for volunteers to get involved, easy for charities to enlist amazing volunteers and make it easy for corporates to engage their workforce in volunteering. They currently work with thirty small charities in London and enlist hundreds of volunteers across multiple city firms.

The Network aims to provide exciting opportunities for young City professionals to socialise and network around philanthropic opportunities.

Encore Futures

Encore Futures facilitates strategic level, high impact volunteer projects in charities for experienced professionals who are looking for a new challenge. Introductory workshops for individuals to explore how their skills and experience can make a difference through their next stage of life are also available. Encore Futures’ approach focuses on understanding motivations, supporting transitions and building reciprocal relationships in order to achieve meaningful social impact for both charity and the individual.

Impetus - The Private Equity Foundation

Impetus-The Private Equity Foundation (Impetus PEF), the pioneer of venture philanthropy in the UK, has a long history encouraging executive volunteers - or "Executeers" - to donate their "day job" skills to ambitious charities and social enterprises.
